Sudarsanam token system for Venkateswara Swamy darsanam

WHY SUDARSANAM / BIOMETRIC TOKENS SYSTEM
Earlier pilgrims were finding it difficult to wait in the long queue lines for hours and days together along with children and old people. In order to minimize waiting time of the devotees in the queue compartments and reduce their hardship, Sudarsan/Biometrics token was introduced by the TTD. The pilgrims can now enter Vaikuntam Queue Complex-1 at the given date and time and complete Srivari darshan within two hours after entering the queue line.

WHAT IS SUDARSANAM
'Sudarsanam', a bar coded wrist band token, is tied to the right hand wrist of a pilgrim, providing reporting time and date of Srivari darshan to the pilgrims. Now wrist band token is replaced with biometrics token, where thumb impression of the pilgrim along with digital photo is taken and a token is given with reporting date and time of Srivari darshan. Pilgrim's thumb impression will be verified at Vaikuntam Queue Complex-1. If it does not tally with the thumb impression given at the counter, the pilgrim will not be allowed for darshan.

BIOMETRICS / SUDARSANAM TOKEN
Presently, biometrics tokens are issued for paid darshan in all counters located at Tirupati. For free darshan, both biometrics tokens and Sudarshanam tokens are issued. Slowly wrist band system will be replaced by biometrics system. Whenever power failure or system failure occurs, Sudarshan tokens are issued instead of biometrics tokens. Free Sudarsanam tokens are available at Tirupati only.

PRECAUTIONS TO BE TAKEN
*Sudarsanam/biometrics tokens are issued at the TTD counter only. These tokens are not available elsewhere in Tirupati.
*Sudarsanam (wrist band tokens) shall not be removed until Srivari darshan is completed. Sudarsanam/biometrics tokens shall not be exchanged.
* Even if Sudarsanam (wrist band token) gets wet during bath etc. it will not be spoiled. It should not be removed and tied again. Once it is removed it will become invalid, because the bar code will get damaged and will not tally at Vaikuntam Queue Complex-1 at the time of entry into the temple.
*Tokens are issued for each and every pilgrim and not for groups. Children, who are below 12 years need not wear Sudarsanam tokens. They are allowed free for darshan.
*Do not trust dalalies or touts. For further information, please contact your nearest 'TTD Information' Centre1 for help and assistance.
