SRIMAN THALLAPAKA ANNAMACHARYA 600TH JAYANTHI CELEBRATIONS







Thallapaka, 19 May (P.R.O)The Thallapaka village and its premises would be made as a spiritual and devotional centre told Sri B.Karunakara Reddy, Chairman TTDs. Addressing the huge gathering on the 600 th Birth celebrations of Sriman Thallpaka Annamacharya at Rajampeta highway where the 108feet Annamacharya statue is to be unveiled. Speaking on this occasion the Chairman said the first telugu vaigeyakkara Sri ‘Annamacharya Keerthanas’ will be spreaded across the globe by conducting functions, gosti ganams etc. It is due to the greatness of the noted English dramatist ‘Shakespare’ name and fame was globalize by the British people where as our own greatnest Vaggeyakara Sriman Thallapaka Annamacharya was under darkness from so many years. The TTD has took a decision to flourish the image and keerthanas of Annamayya in the world. Even in future like Thyagaraja utsavams in Thiruvayur of Tamil Nadu, Annamayya Utsavams will also be conducted in Thallapaka in a grand manner.

He further said that the 108 feet statue will be unveiled by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of A.P on 22 nd May. The surroundings of the Annamayya statue would also be improved with a temple, meditation hall and gardens so as to honor the saint poet Thallapaka Annamayya.

Swamijis like Sri Sri Sri Tridendi Ramanuja Jeeyar Swamy, Guntur, Sri Sri Sri Vidhya Swaroopanda, Sri Kalahasthi, Sri Pilot Baba, Himalayas, Sri Sri Sri Narayana Yeendra Desikan Swamy, Aoubil Mutt, Sri Sri Sri Vidya Narasimha Bharathi, Pushpagiri Mutt, Sri Sri Sri Ramachandra Swamy, Bheemavaram, Sri Sri Om Sai Baba, Chikballapur, Sri Sri Swamy Rajarishi Sikha of Bangalore and other swamijis have made anugraha bhashanam and mangalasasanams to the public.

Earlier Sapthagiri Sangeetha Gosti Ganam was arranged on the dias near the 108 feet Annamacharya Statue in which noted musicians and nearly 600 artists from across country like G.Balakrishna Prasad, Dr. Seshu latha, Hyderabad sisters, Dr. Shobha Raju, Smt. Jyothirmayee Chowdary, Sri Kunkaikudi Vaidhyananthan, Smt. Dwaram Lakshmi, Smt. Manju Bhargavai, Sri Parupalli brothers, Sri Yella Vekateswara Rao, Sri P.B.Srinivas, Vedavathi Prabhakar, Smt. Kanchana, Sri Chitti Babu, Smt. Padma Subramanyam and TTD Music College students have sung Sri Annamacharya Keerthanas and made the public enthralled. Sri Harinarayana the heriditory of Thallapaka Annamayya made floral tribute to the 108 feet Annamacharya Statue and premises by Helicopter.

At 7.00am on May 19, 2008 sankeerthana padya yatra has taken place from Govt Junior college , Rajampeta to the statue of Thallapaka Annamayya on the Rajampeta Highway . Bhajan troups, Kollatams, Chakka Bhajans, Sankeerthana Bhajana Brundams, Drama artists local people nearly twenty thousands participated in the nagara sankeerthana padya yatra. The padaya yatra took 6kms through the main roads of Rajampeta where the locals have decorated their houses and roads with green leaves, thoranams and rangolis in a traditional manner. They prayed the Lord Malayappa and His consorts in the sankeerthana padya yatra followed by priests and archakas from Tirumala.

Sri K.V.Ramanachary, E.O TTDs has suprivised the entire programme of Thallapaka Annamacharya 600 th Jayanthi Utsavams both sankeertha padaya yatra as well as gosti ganam.
