As part of efforts to promote self-reliance, entrepreneurship and grassroots development ahead of the 2027 general elections, the AjadiSarsino Movement has empowered members in Ward 2, Oluyole Local Government Area of Oyo State, with free training in soap production.

The empowerment programme was held on Wednesday, 22nd October 2027, at Abe Technical Secondary School, Ward 2, Oluyole Local Government Area, Oyo State. It provided participants with practical knowledge of soap-making, equipping them with skills they could use to establish small businesses, generate income and improve their livelihoods.

Speaking on the initiative, the movement's coordinator, Hon. Dele Adesina, Majority Leader and Councillor representing Ward 2, Oluyole Local Government, described the training as a practical approach to empowering constituents and helping them become economically independent.

Hon. Adesina explained that the programme was designed to go beyond political activities by providing members with useful vocational skills that could create lasting economic benefits.

He disclosed that the skills acquisition programme would be a continuous exercise, scheduled to take place at least twice every month, with different vocational skills introduced during subsequent sessions.

According to him, the initiative is intended to encourage entrepreneurship, reduce dependence on limited employment opportunities and equip participants with the capacity to build sustainable sources of income.

The coordinator also commended Hon. Akeem Olatunji (FNSE), Executive Chairman of Oluyole Local Government and Federal House of Representatives candidate for Oluyole Federal Constituency, alongside Hon. Oluwafemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, APM senatorial candidate for Oyo Central Senatorial District, whom he described as the pillars of the movement.

He urged the people of Oyo State to make informed decisions in the forthcoming elections and support all candidates of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM).

Beneficiary Applauds Initiative, Says Skills Acquisition Can Reduce Unemployment

One of the beneficiaries, Mrs. Temitope Balogun-Agbaje, expressed appreciation to the organisers for providing the opportunity to acquire a practical skill that could serve as a foundation for starting her own business.

She noted that programmes of this nature could make a significant difference by helping people become entrepreneurs and employers of labour rather than relying solely on the search for paid employment.

She further observed that if more political leaders and candidates invested in similar empowerment initiatives, many Nigerians would have the opportunity to establish businesses, become self-employed and contribute to reducing the country's unemployment rate.

Mrs. Balogun-Agbaje commended the AjadiSarsino Movement for the initiative and expressed hope that the programme would continue to benefit more people.

Beyond Politics: Investing in People and Their Future

The initiative highlights the importance of vocational training as a tool for economic empowerment, particularly at the grassroots level, where access to employment and business opportunities remains a challenge for many people.

With plans to organise training sessions at least twice a month and introduce different vocational skills, the AjadiSarsino Movement aims to provide members with practical knowledge that can translate into business opportunities and financial independence.

The programme also reinforces the importance of skills acquisition and entrepreneurship in promoting self-reliance, strengthening local businesses and improving livelihoods across Oluyole Local Government.
