🚨 BREAKING: Oyo Govt Demolishes Building Linked to Adelabu Family Abduction

In a decisive move against insecurity, the Oyo State Government on Monday demolished a three-bedroom bungalow in the Lako Community along Aiyegun–Anaye Road, Ibadan, reportedly used as a hideout by kidnappers involved in the abduction of Chief Bayo Adelabu’s younger sister and her children.

Officials from the Ministry of Public Works and Transportation, supported by operatives of the Nigeria Police Force, carried out the demolition as part of ongoing efforts to crack down on kidnapping and other criminal activities across the state.

The victims — Mrs. Olaide Busayo Adegoke John-Paul and her 12-year-old twin sons, Peter and Paul — were abducted on June 3, 2026, at Elewura in the Challenge area of Ibadan.

According to the state government, the demolition sends a strong message that Oyo State will not provide safe havens for criminals and remains committed to dismantling networks that threaten the safety of residents.

CityFocus Update: A bold statement from the government in the fight against kidnapping. The bigger question now is whether such measures will further deter criminal activities and strengthen security across the state.
