Realme X50 5G launched in China: Rs 26,000 for 120Hz display, 5G connectivity and 30W fast charging
The Realme X50 5G is the company's first launch in 2020 and it sits second to the Realme X2 Pro in its premium phones lineup. The specifications of the X50 are similar to what the leaks have been mentioning for weeks and all of us were waiting for the price. You can get the base variant of the Realme X50 5G at a price of 2,499 Yuan (approximately Rs 26,000). And, you only get a 5G variant- no affordable 4G variant exists of the X50.
The X50 5G is currently only available in China and there are two variants available with different RAM and storage options. The base variant costs 2,499 Yuan and it offers 8GB RAM along with 128GB storage. For those who want more, Realme also offers the X50 with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. You can get the phone in two colour options- Glacier (sky blue) and Polar (violet). The phone is going on sale from January 9.
The Realme X50 is essence is an answer to the Xiaomi Redmi K30 5G that was launched back in December 2019. The X50 5G offers almost similar specifications to the Redmi K30 5G and there's hardly any difference between these two, except for the camera setup. Unlike the Redmi K30 though, the Realme X50 only comes in a 5G variant for now.
For the display, the Realme X50 5G uses a 6.57-inch Full HD+ display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. The display uses an IPS LCD panel and features a cutout for dual selfie cameras to the front. One of these cameras is a 16-megapixel regular shooter whereas the other one is an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera. There are noticeable bezels and a thick chin around the display.
