Processional deity of Lord Malayappaswamy along with His consorts Sridevi and Bhudevi were taken out in procession atop Pushpa Pallaki around four mada streets in connection with Anivara Asthanam at Tirumala on Wednesday July 16. Tiirumala, 16 July (P.R.O) ‘ PUSHPA PALLAKI’ was taken out in procession at the hill temple of Lord Venkateswara on Wednesday evening. The procession was taken out in connection with the Annual Anivari Asthanam. The exquisitely decorated flower palanquin carrying the processional deities of Lord Malayappaswamy and His consorts was taken out in a grand procession along the mada streets. Thousands of devotees witnessed the festival. Thousands of kilograms of aromatic flowers went into the making of the Pushpa Pallaki. In the morning ‘Asthanam’ was conducted in the santum sanctorum of the temple.

ASHTHOTRA SATHA KUNDATMAKA MAHA VARUNA YAGAM

This yagam involves 150 priests from TTD performing the traditional ritual simultaneously in 108 homagundams. Pavithrotsava, an important three-day festival at the Tirumala temple, begins on August 12. Pavithrotsava will be observed at Tirumala.
