Padmavathi Ammavari Kartheeka Brahmotsavam Begins

`Dwajarohanam' was performed on Monday Nov 24,2008 in the famous temple of Sri Padmavathi Ammavari Temple, signalling the commencement of the nine-day annual `Brahmotsavam' of Goddess Padmavathi.

The sacred yellow cloth flag with the imprint of Gaja , the celestial carrier of Goddess Padmavathi, was hoisted atop the golden flag post, `Dwajasthambham,' situated inside the temple complex at the auspicious `Vrushika lagnam' between 9.05am to 9.20 am. amidst the traditional recitation of Vedic hymns by temple priests.

TTD Executive Officer Sri K.V.Ramanachary, TTD Board Members Sri Chavireddy Bhaskar Reddy, TTD Joint Executive Officer Sri V.Seshadhri, SplGr DyEO Sri Chengalrayulu and devotees witnessed the celestial function.
