On the sixth day of Srivari Brahmotsavam, the presiding deity of Tirumala gives his darshan to his devout followers on the Hanuman Vahanam.
Hanuman is considered one of the top devotees of Lord Vishnu in one of his avatars as Lord Rama. He is also hailed as an exponent of all four Vedas, Nava vyakarana pundit and destroyer of Laka .
Hanuman is considered as an embodiment of Wisdom, Muscle power, Victory, Braveness, health, over active, fearless and common sense. One of the hillocks on the Tirumala hill range is also named as Anjanadri. Known as a vary putra of Anjana born out of power of ‘tapas’, Hanuman.
As one ardent devotee who carried Sri Rama on his shoulders, Hanumans association with Lord Venkateswara, an incarnation of Lord Rama is nothing unsual .It is said that Lord Sri Rama had taught the secrets of Atma Tatva his most loyal disciple, Hanuman . The Sita Ramanjaneya Samvadam is the basic theme of a Telugu poetry of yester years.
Thus the darshan of Lord Venkateswara along with Hanuman is considered not only auspicious but also as an high intellectual association. “ The appearance of both Lord Rama and Hanuman is said to inspire the pundits for an extensive exploration of Vedic scriptures and promote righteous life style “ says Dr. A.V . Ramana Maharshi, the chief priest of TTD.
Hanuman is also described as Bhavishyat Brahma for his blessings and acts denote a special and spiritual path for everyone to abide to lead a peaceful and prosperous livelihood.
The TTD has organized special seating arrangements along the four mada streets to enable thousands of people to sit around the temple and witness the procession which lasted several hours in the evenings of Brahmotsavam every day.
