Confirmed A/H1N1 flu cases in U.S. rise to 403
WASHINGTON, May 5 (Xinhua) -- A total of 403 human A/H1N1 cases have been confirmed in 38 U.S. states, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reported Tuesday.
The only person that has so far died of the H1N1 flu virus in the United States is a Mexican toddler who was visiting relatives in Texas.
According to the CDC, the State of New York has reported 90 confirmed cases of the H1N1 flu, followed by 82 of Illinois, 49 of California, 41 of Texas and 20 of Delaware.
The number of confirmed cases on Monday was 279 in 36 states.
