TTD mass marriages on Nov. 2

Vizianagaram, Sept. 23: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams executive committee member, Mr P Sambasiva Raju, on Tuesday said that the fourth round of mass marriages taken up by the TTD — Kalyanamastu would be held at 12 places in the district on November 2.

Speaking to this newspaper, Mr Raju said that the programme would be held between 10.55 am and 11.10 am on November 2. As many as 1,135 marriag-es were performed in the last three rounds in the district. “The TTD will provide golden mangalasutras, new clothes and free lunch for marriage parties. Those who want to get marriages done in the ensuing Kalya-namastu shall have to register their names with the TTD kalyanamandapams, TTD information centres offices of RDO, MPDO, tahasildar and sarpanch by submitting applications on or before October 21,” Mr Sambasiva Raju said.
