TTD Board Meeting at Annamayya Bhavan

Tirumala 22 Aug (P.R.O) The TTD Trust Board under the chairmanship of Sri B.Karunakara Reddy at Annamaiah Bhavan, Tirumala have taken the following decisions on August 22.

  • As part of Dharma Pracharam, one Bhagavath Gita and one Srivari Laddu will be given to the prisoners once in a year in the state prisons. This will be started in the coming deepavali day.
  • Wearing footwear in prohibited in four mada streets, Tirumala.
  • Ten contract labourers who completed five years of service working in S.V.Gosamrakshana Shala would be given salaries and allowances which is equivalent to minimum wages. Similarly, the human hair grading workers would be given Rs. 500/- as risk allowances based on their performance.
  • The forest workers removed in the year 2004 will be provided work and to pay them minimum wages.
  • The sambhavana for purana pundits is extended Rs.2000/- in addition to the present amount. They will also be given indentity cards, T.A & D.A besides medical facilities in TTD run hospitals.
  • The hawkers who lost their business (work) in VQC I, II are given opportunity to work in Annadanam, tirumala.
  • It is decided to take two officers (appraisers) from Hall Mark agency (Indian Bureau of Standards) to decide the quality of the Gold, Diamonds and Jewellery in TTD. The measurements instruments being used in Reserve Bank of India would also be utilized in TTD.
  • The four line road from Ramanuja Circle to Tiruchanur would be extended as six lane roads. The approx cost is Rs. 525 lakhs.
  • The S.V.Oriental college Girls hostel would be constructed at a cost of Rs. 5 Crores.
  • It is decided to construct a Kalyana Mandapam in Sri Vijaya Vinayaka Temple located in Bairagipatteda.
  • The pilgrim compensatory allowance is enhanced from Rs.750/- to Rs. 1000/- to the regular employees. Similarly, the same PCAa will be given Rs. 400/- per month for the retired employees of TTD.
  • The students (Under below poverty line) studying in TTD run institutions would be provided free meals arrangements.
  • The piece rate for the workers in S.V.Sculpture centre, TTD is enhanced hundred percent salary, besides identity cards and medical facilities in TTD Hospitals.
  • The children of TTD employees who study in professional colleges in abroad would be paid fee, subject to the terms and conditions.

Later, the chairman released a book 'PALANAMRUTHAM'. The potu workers unions, Tirumala has donated Rs. 3,38,298 for pranadana Trust, they have handed over the cheque to the chairman, TTDs.
