Fake currency through ATM's

Some cases of fake Currency being disbursed through ATMs have come to light recently. Some people have complained that they got some fake currency notes along with genuine curency when they draw money form the ATM . The fake currency is in the denomination of Rs. 500 and Rs. 1,000 notes. When the customers approach the banks , the officials are feigning ignorance. At some places in the twin cities when some customers tried to draw money from the ATMs, all they got was bank statements in place of currency. And when they go to the bank to draw money, they find to their horror that the amount has been debited from their accounts. Bank officials attribute this problem to some technical glitches. They say that the problem lies with the telephone lines at BSNL. But customers need not worry say the bank officials, as the money will be reversed to their accounts within 21 days. But for people who go to ATMs when in urgent need of moony are facing severe hardships on account of this.
